Bring your kids to Savannah

There is so much to do in Savannah – but we’ve taken the liberty of compelling a short list of upcoming events that are local favorites – and all within walking distance from all of our properties.

SATURDAYS:

The Forsyth Farmers’ Market, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., rain or shine, at the South End of Forsyth Park in Historic Downtown Savannah, a variety of vendors will offer their produce and products to residents and visitors alike. The Forsyth Farmers’ Market vendors offer a variety of local goods including seasonal produce, eggs, honey, pastured meat, bread, cheese, mushrooms, fresh herbs, vegetable sauces, preserves, coffee beans, heirloom seeds and potted plants. forsythfarmersmarket.org.

First Fridays:

Celebrate the end of the week and the beginning of a new month with First Friday Fireworks and River Street Fun! Rousakis Riverfront Plaza, 115 East River St. Free & Open to the Public! Savannah Waterfront Association, (912) 234-0295 or riverstreetsavannah.com.

May 16

As if Savannah’s scenery wasn’t colorful enough, the national Color Run will create a fun, color-blasted 5K running experience throughout historic downtown Savannah. This is the perfect race to get a group of friends together and get doused in color! At The Color Run, the start line is its own pre-race party with music, dancing, warmup stretching and giveaways! As a for profit company, we are excited we have the opportunity to partner with charities and help shine a light on their extraordinary work within society. thecolorrun.com/contact/.
